2009-2010 Important Dates to Remember

September 8th-14th : Jenny Wiley shirt orders are due for all jazz and Hip Hop students. These
win be worn for the Jenny Wiley Festival performance on October.

September 7th (Monday): No Classes for Labor Day

October 7th (Wednesday): 6pm PHS Gymnasium: Jazz, Hip Hop and Lyrical Students perform for Jenny
Wiley Festival. (Be there at 5:30. Jazz students wear Dance Etc. t-shirt and black pants with jazz shoes.
Hip Hop students wear Dance Etc. tank, Black sweat pants and tennis shoes and Lyrical students wear
any solid color leotard, black booty shorts. footless tan tights and bare feet or lyrical shoes)

November 2nd (Monday): "Nutcracker" tickets will go on sale to parents of performers (Ballet Students
only. Pre-Ballet students do not perform in the Nutcracker). You must buy your tickets through the
Mountain Arts Center Ticket Office. You may buy them at the ticket office or by phone. You may
purchase a maximum of 4 tickets for each of the three evening shows per student you have performing
during this advanced ticket sales to parents.

November 16th (Monday): "Nutcracker" tickets go on sale to the public. You can also purchase tickets
online during Public Ticket sales at www.macarts.com

November 22nd (Sunday): 12:30pm - 5:30pm Nutcracker Full show run through at the studio. Please
see your Nutcracker packet for exact times for your class. (packets will be distributed the first week of
November) If you lose your packet you may find the info on the studio website at www.danceetc.biz

November 24th: Last day of Regular Dance Classes before the Nutcracker and Holiday Break. Other than
Nutcracker there will be no dance classes in December and Classes will resume Monday, January 4th.

November 25th and 26th: No Classes for Thanksgiving

November 29th (Sunday): "Nutcracker" Technical Rehearsal at the MAC from 2pm to 8pm. Act 1-2pm
and Act II- 5pm.

November 30th (Monday): "Nutcracker" Dress Rehearsal 4:00pm to 9:00pm at the Mountain Arts
Center. Act I 4:00pm and Act II 7:00 pm.

December 1st (Tuesday): "Nutcracker" One matinee for local schools at 10:00 am and one evening
performance for the public at 7pm at the MAC.

December 2nd (Wednesday): "Nutcracker" performances at 10 and 7.

December 3rd (Thursday):: "Nutcracker" performances at 10 and 7.

December 7th · January 3rd: There will be no dance classes at the studio for the entire month of
December due to Nutcracker performances and the Holiday break. I hope everyone has a wonderful
break and I will see you back in January.

January 4th (Monday): Dance Classes resume after the break. You do not need to re-register. You
simply continue with your same class schedule from the Fall semester.

January 11th thru 14th (Monday- Thursday): All Recital Costume fees are due in full! If costumes
are not paid for by the 14th of January they will not be ordered for your child. Costume pictures and
prices will be in a book in the lobby of the studio the first of January.

March 29th-April 1st - (Monday-Thursday): Dance Etc. Spring Break. Then: will be no regular classes.

May 3rd (Monday): Recital tickets go on sale to parents only. Parents may purchase a limit of 4
tickets per show per child enrolled during this advanced ticket sales. Purchase tickets through the
Mountain Arts Center ticket office either at the MAC or by phone.

May 3rd-6th (Monday - Thursday) Parent Observation week for All Pre-School and Beginner Ballet!
Tap and Pre-Jazz students. Parents may view the last half of dance classes this week and may video
recital routines for at home practice.

May 10th-13th (Monday-Thursday): Parent Observation week for all Kindergarten through 2nd grade
students. Parents may view the last half of dance classes this week and may video recital routines for
home practice.

May 17th-20th (Monday-Thursday): Parent Observation week for all 4th through 12th grade students.
Parents may view the last half of dance classes this week and may video recital routines for home
practice.

May 17th (Monday): Recital Tickets go on sale to the public at the MAC. You may also purchase
tickets online during the Public Ticket sales.

May 31st, June 1st, 2nd and 3rd (Mon., Tues., Wed., Thur.): Recital Technical Rehearsal at the
MAC 4pm to 9pm each day. Your child's class will be assigned an exact rehearsal time on one of these
days at a later date. There are no regular dance classes on these rehearsal days.

June 4th (Friday): Recital Dress Rehearsal at the MAC 4pm to 9pm.

June 5th (Saturday): Dance Etc. Spring Recital 11am and 6pm at the MAC.
